Trio of Fantasy Mushroom Cottages

Three whimsical mushroom-shaped cottages, built as a matched set but each dressed in its own color story: a cool teal cap, a classic red-and-white toadstool, and a dusky purple bloom crowned with amethyst.

Design

• Each build follows the same silhouette: a rounded, gill-textured stone stalk rising into a domed mushroom cap, giving it an unmistakable fairy-tale shape.
• Small window-like openings and interior nooks are tucked into the stalk, along with visible tables, hinting at livable space inside rather than a purely decorative shape.
• Every cap is speckled with pale spots picked out in smooth quartz against the concrete base color, keeping the toadstool read strong from a distance.

Palette & Materials

• The stalks are built from polished diorite and smooth quartz, giving them a pale, weathered stone look.
• The caps swap between cyan, red, and light blue terracotta or concrete depending on the house, each finished with clusters of flowering azalea leaves for a mossy canopy effect.
• Cave vines, twisting vines, weeping vines, and warped or crimson roots trail down from the caps, and glow lichen and amethyst clusters add extra texture and sparkle to the stone.

Placement Ideas

• Each cottage sits on its own small grass plot bordered in stone, so they can be placed individually or grouped together as a cluster, as shown.
