Standing at an imposing height of 145 blocks, this monumental sculpture features a stately pediment base topped by the robed figure holding aloft its signature torch.

The Design

The monument is split into two distinct visual halves that mirror the real-world landmark. The lower pedestal relies on a warm, textured sandstone foundation built using Cut Sandstone, Sandstone, and Chiseled Sandstone, accented by Sandstone Stairs and Sandstone Slab to create recessed paneling and classical cornices. Rising from the pedestal is the figure itself, sculpted with sweeping drapery folds and crowned with a radiating halo of spikes. The raised right arm culminates in an observation balcony enclosed by Iron Bars, where a blazing flame crafted from bright blocks and illuminated by End Rod fixtures reaches toward the sky.

The Palette and Materials

The sculpture makes striking use of color contrast to differentiate the base from the statue. While the pedestal keeps things earthy and warm with its mix of sandstone variants and Birch Slab, the entire body of the lady is rendered in cool blue-green tones dominated by Waxed Oxidized Copper and Waxed Oxidized Cut Copper Stairs. Hidden lighting elements like Sea Lantern and Wall Torch are neatly integrated throughout the structure to ensure the monumental form reads clearly day and night.
