Privacy Policy
Last updated
This English version is the binding one. Versions in other languages are translations provided for convenience only.
This policy explains what data Shulkr ("we", "us") collects when you use shulkr (the schematic catalog, 3D viewer, editor and converter) and what we do with it.
The short version
- The viewer, editor and converter run entirely in your browser: files you open there are never uploaded unless you explicitly click "Upload" or "Share this build".
- We only store personal data needed to run your account: the email address and display name provided by your sign-in provider. We never use or display your provider profile photo.
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
What we collect
Account data. When you sign in with Google or Discord we receive and store your email address and display name. Your public profile shows the handle and display name you choose, never your email.
Content you upload. Schematics you upload, and the titles, descriptions and tags you add, are stored on our servers. Their visibility follows the setting you choose per build: public, link-only or private.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) are kept for a limited time for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
Cookies and local storage. We set a session cookie to keep you signed in. The tools also use your browser's local storage to hold local working data (for example editor auto-saves and files handed between pages), which stays on your device.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how the site is used (pages visited, features used). These tools set their own cookies or similar identifiers. We use this data in aggregate to improve the service, not to identify you.
What we don't collect
Files you open in the viewer, editor or converter without uploading them never leave your device. We don't receive them, so we can't see them.
Legal basis and retention
We process account data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and technical logs to protect the service (legitimate interest). Account data is kept while your account exists; logs are kept only as long as needed for security purposes.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data at any time: your builds and profile are editable in the app, and deleting your account removes your personal data. If you are in the EU/EEA, you additionally have the rights granted by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Third parties
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, storage, content delivery) to run the service; they process data on our behalf only. Sign-in is provided by Google and Discord under their own privacy policies.
