This striking desert base hovers above a grounded oasis, featuring a pair of elevated floating islands crowned with traditional desert dwellings and linked by hanging wooden walkways.

Design and Layout

The complex is split between two distinct realms. At ground level, a walled perimeter frames a sandy depression featuring terraced slopes, a central pool fed by Light Blue Stained Glass, and scattered Cactus growths, bordered by an orderly perimeter of trees. Suspended high above this sunken landscape are the floating islands, constructed from End Stone and earth tones with jagged stalactite formations hanging from their undersides. Two habitation structures top the floating landmasses, featuring flat roofs edged with Cobblestone Slab battlements and connected by a bridge of Spruce Slab steps and railings.

Palette and Materials

The base relies on a natural, arid palette that blends earth and stone. The massive bulk of the terrain uses heavy volumes of Sand, Dirt, and End Stone, while the surface features patches of Grass Block. The structures themselves combine Birch Planks for wall construction with Cut Sandstone and Sandstone accents, detailed further using Stone Bricks and Cobblestone Stairs. Splashes of Light Blue Stained Glass and Light Blue Stained Glass Pane create the striking vertical waterfall cascading from the floating islands down to the desert floor below.

Placement and Usage

Designed as a complete survival compound, this base provides a secure elevated living space combined with a functional ground-level farm and water source. The floating layout keeps players safe from hostile mobs while offering commanding views of the surrounding landscape from the rooftop terraces. It makes a memorable wilderness outpost or an eye-catching spawn point for an arid themed world.
