Nether Portal Schematics
A bare obsidian rectangle works, but the portal is the build you walk through hundreds of times, and it is one of the cheapest builds in the game to make spectacular. Vanilla frames run from the minimum 4x5 up to 23x23, and anything beyond a rectangle, arches, circles, a dragon's mouth, is dressing built around that frame.
Three ideas dominate portal design right now: frames themed to their biome or base, from cherry blossom to medieval stone arch; dedicated portal rooms, often with a corruption effect of netherrack and crimson growth spilling out around the frame; and rebuilding a naturally generated ruined portal while keeping its crying obsidian and weathered look.
These are small, cheap builds most players can raise from a Litematica hologram in one session. Preview the design in 3D, then download it free.
