Information

This pig farm uses a 6x4 central hole, which has proven to be the sweet spot for efficiency. With 16 spawners per layer (4 per wall), running 240 spawners for half an hour produced a 97.7% efficiency rate, equal to about 5.33 mobs per minute per spawner. Scaled up, that translates to roughly 166 million coins per hour at 864 spawners.

If you shrink the hole size any further than 6x4, efficiency starts to drop off noticeably, so this is the recommended minimum size for this layout.

You'll need around 1,340 fences or strings (21 stacks) to build this out fully. Given the farm's layout, placement is straightforward.

Instead of oak fence gates, this build uses string in their place, purely a personal preference from the designer. You're free to use open fence gates, signs, string, or whatever else works, the choice has zero effect on farm efficiency.

Note: Before the pig drop rate bug was fixed, this same setup only produced around 83 million coins/hour — the current 166 million/hour figure reflects post-fix performance.

  • 3x nothing
  • 1x lava

  • 16x nothing
  • 1x "death floor" (ground level, farm base)

There's no full tutorial yet, but the layout above is simple enough to follow directly from the schematic.

Hey! At the moment I'm getting around 227k per spawner per hour with 240 spawners. Your grinding efficiency is showing 192k, so I was wondering how the efficiency is actually calculated. According to the 97.7% efficiency shown, the maximum should be around 196.5k, but I'm making quite a bit more than that. Am I misunderstanding how it works? Just curious—no hate or anything. I do play on Java, so maybe things work a bit different there?

Finally I can get 3 coin! :)
