About this build

This striking medieval tower house bridges rustic stone foundations with half-timbered upper levels, all sheltered beneath a dramatic, steep-pitched roof. Spanning 19 blocks wide and stretching 41 blocks high, the multi-tiered silhouette creates an imposing yet inviting presence for any medieval settlement.

The Architecture and Layout

The house rises from sturdy stone supports built from Stone Bricks and Stone, leaving an open passage underneath that gives the structure a unique gatehouse feel. Above this lower foundation, the upper floors feature classic timber-framed walls filled out with White Wool and Pale Oak Planks. Overhanging upper stories add traditional medieval charm, projecting outward past the footprint of the lower level and creating a dynamic profile when viewed from the street.

Materials and Exterior Details

The most striking feature of the exterior is the massive roof, clad predominantly in Cinnabar Bricks with contrasting dark accents running along the ridges and gables using Deepslate Bricks. The timber framework is outlined with Stripped Spruce Wood and Spruce Planks, bringing a warm, weathered contrast against the pale wall panels. Subtle detailing such as Waxed Copper Grate elements and decorative wall signs add texture to the facade.

Placement and Use

This house serves as a standalone residence with plenty of character, well suited to anchor a bustling medieval town square or stand guard along a fortified village road. Its elevated upper rooms and arched ground level make it an ideal choice for placement over a pathway, allowing players to walk right underneath the dwelling as they navigate their world.
